Te Tono | The Offer
This internship seeks to grow the pool of local Māori venue technicians who can work across Te Pou theatre and Te Puna Creative Hub;
Through this internship, you’ll gain practical, hands-on technical mahi in a live operating theatre environment, with the space and support to learn at your own pace. You’ll have room for creative exploration while building confidence working at height on ladders and scaffold towers, and developing strong tools and equipment literacy. Along the way, you’ll learn how to hold and manage the creative space, understand technical forms and plans, and how to execute them, and become familiar with risk assessment and health and safety planning. You will have four (4) mentorship check-in sessions to support you along this kaupapa. This internship aims to prepare you to be a confident, capable and competent venue technician.
