Kaupapa | About

AIGA (Samoan for family/whānau) is a groundbreaking and emotional Disability-led Pasifika-led work of theatre told through the lens of the real-life journey of Lusi Faiva.

A collective creative ensemble of women, non-binary, disabled, non-disabled, Pasifika and Maori identities brings this quest for identity and belonging to life, artfully sharing their own experiences with and through Lusi’s.

AIGA is an Aotearoa story with universal resonance: an honest and heartfelt work that moves you, expands your empathy and consciousness and invites you to explore new perspectives of being. With a powerhouse creative team, this work features storytelling at its core; a story that will make you laugh, cry, think and feel – one that needs to be heard.

All shows are accessible.

Accessibility has been seeded within the work. The spatial design of the performance means that priority seating goes to wheelchair, low vision or blind, d/Deaf or hard of hearing. NZSL and Audio Description have also been seeded in the work. For any queries, please feel free to call us on 020 4162 2659.

Please see “accessible seats – wheelchair, low vision/blind & d/Deaf” if this sounds like you.

Please call Te Pou Theatre on 022 123 1090 to arrange your complimentary Tīkiti Hoa Haere/Companion ticket for accessibility requirements.

When the world of high art collides with the world of advertising and consumerism ‘Limited
Time Only’ is what you get. An absurd physical-theatre comedy from multi-award show
watching director Hone Taukiri that will give you a great night out and ask for nothing in return
but all of your money.
GrindHouse Theatre presents: LIMITED TIME ONLY – available for a Limited Time only…
