Alex Medland is an emerging kiriwhakaari and kaitito whakaari based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Her whakapapa is to Kai Tahu, although she has grown up all over Aotearoa. In 2019 she trained at The John Bolton Theatre School in Melbourne, a short physical theatre course focused on devising, clowning and physical theatre techniques. She has performed in a variety of shows including ‘Duffy in Bubble Trouble’, ‘Era and the Kaitiaki’, and ‘The Maid’s Tragedy.’ Alex is incredibly hiamo to be part of Te Pou’s Kōanga Rangitahi Programme with e hoa Fabian McGregor to tell the story of Pakeha Skin, Māori Blood.
