Chantelle Gerrard was HOD Wardrobe for the Pop-up Globe Costume Department from 2015-2019, and designed and supervised over half their productions during her time there.
Her career in costume spans 20 years and has included making costumes for ‘Game of Thrones’, constructing space suits for ‘The Martian’, and Costume Design for the NZ feature film ‘Insatiable Moon.
She has designed over 120 Productions including ‘Once’ the Musical In Auckland, ‘Mary Stuart’ in London as well as Costumes for Film, Circus, Dance and T.V. She has been the Wardrobe Supervisor for many productions over the years including Auckland Theatre Company’s ‘Billy Elliot’ and was the HOD of Wardrobe for Tim Bray’s Theatre Company for 10 years.
Chantelle has lived and worked in the UK and Ireland, Australia and New Zealand and has a deep love of historical costume. She is also a trained educator and has given many talks on her work over the years.
She is loving being a part of this production, and it has been a real honour and privilege working with everyone on this absolutely beautiful project.
